Artificial Maintenance

February is a time when winter nets have started and clubs start to think about what needs to be done for the start of the season.

After this winter’s heavy frost many artificial practise areas will have ‘lifted’ so make sure they are compacted again before use.  Power washing and ‘edging’ are also good maintenance practise as wickets show ‘wrinkles’ as the grass starts to grow over the edge of the carpet.  It may be necessary to remove the nails to remove the wrinkles.

If you are unsure about any artificial maintenance then ask a professional.
